#BDALoves _Van Gogh
We have just returned from a weekend of wanderings in and around London Town and whilst there we managed to catch the Van Gogh exhibition in its last few days at Tate Britain. It was quite a trip on so many levels!

It's the holidays and time to take a much-needed break. Greece is where we're headed, a place I know well, having spent many a summer holiday there as a child and my go-to now when I need some RnR.
We had the best fun yesterday!
BDA was super excited to be selected as a proud finalist of this year's Creative Bath Awards which took place in Queen's Square, central Bath. Our entry, a renovation of fire-damaged accommodation at the historical Linley House in Pierrepont Place, was the project we did together with our first intake of the BDA Certificate and BDA Diploma courses.
History plays a big part in what we design for today and tomorrow. At BDA we take a look at key design movements through time, how they influence current trends. It is also critical to have a basic understanding of a historical style before we use it as a basis in a contemporary scheme. What are the defining characteristics, as well as differences for example between Art Deco and Art Nouveau, or Memphis Style and De Stijl, a column of the Doric and Corinthian orders...?
Six months in the making; having done loads of research, including feedback about key subject areas (as well as some 'nice-to-haves'), we proudly unveiled this full-on fun and informative day!
Being the day that it is today, we wanted to share the love by launching a new feature called '#BDALoves...' ! This is where we'll tell you all about the Creatives, Makers, Suppliers and/or Retailers we have fallen for... truly, madly, deeply!
